ANALISA PENGARUH OVERHEATING TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK PADA KERUSAKAN WATER WALL TUBE PADA COAL BOILER

Abstract

Boiler Has been  overheating on 2016 years ago. The condition of waterwall tube coal 1st boiler on 2nd unit hasbeing operated since 5 years ago. for this time, there has been damaged at waterwall tube is kind of carbon steel material (GB 3087-10 carbon steel) and the form of damage is short-term overheating on  furnace of this boiler. The effect of this overheating to its material are being deformation, fracture, normal. In this study, the materials which taken is normal form. In this case,it is be necessary done some mechanical testing. they are Hardness Test, Tesile Test, Metallography to know normal materialswhich is can be used again  or not. From the result of its material testing which is normal form,the highest hardness number is 146 HVN (Hardness Vickers Number)on weld metal area in the side of furnace. The highest tensile strenght is 351 Mpa and elongation 8.1%. from the result of this study, this material can be used again because the hardness number and the tensile strenght more than standart of hardness number and tensile strenght which is allowed for material A192.
