Abstract

In the pipeline routing process, design which will be constructed requires pipeline under railway, The Pipeline under railway will later be constructed without using casing with a distance of -2000 mm from the land surface. In the design drawings there are 2 (two) pipes that need to be bending of 300 referring to the ASME B31.8 requirement. The pipeline are expected to last up to 20 years accordance the client’s request. Based on the calculation of the conducted analysis, the pipeline under railway which will be constructed has an effective stress value of 7809.25 Psi. The result of the effective stress calculation is considered safe because it doesn’t exceed the material allowable stress, for the required pipe thickness is 0.025 inch and the pipe thickness after bending process is 0.261 inch. According to the thickness calculation result the pipes are considerably safe because the thickness value after bending process is not less than the required pipe thickness, and for the calculation lifetime of the pipe, the lifetime of the pipes is up to 22 years.based on that calculation result, it is safe to state that the pipes are good because it longer lifetime than client’s request which is 20 years
