Abstract

PT Rekadaya Elektrika which has a long experience in carrying out engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for petrochemical, cement, mineral oil, gas and energy sector projects. PT Rekadaya Elektrika is working on fire fighting project in PT PJB UBJOM Pacitan. Fire fighting is very important and should work well in the fire. In corrosive environments such as seafront environments may result in corrosion processes. This is because the marine environment has high contains of salt (NaCl).This study used epoxy type of paint in experiment with three parameter test and each parameter consist of 4 variations are humidity, temperature and coating thickness, test as much as 128 times by using immersion test aims to determine the influence of humidity, temperature and the paint thickness to obtain prediction of humidity variation, temperature and thickness of paint precisely so that can optimize painting process.Immersion Test results show that the higher the humidity and temperature, the greater the corrosion rate, while the higher the thickness of the coating, the smaller the corrosion rate. The effect for humidity is 84.077%, temperature is 12.928% and coating thickness is 2.995%. So the humidity factor is the most influential factor on corrosion rate.
