Analisa Pengaruh Variasi Radius Miter Bend Terhadap Nilai Laju Erosi Aliran Dua Fase (Udara-Partikel Fly Ash)

Abstract

 Miter bend at line fly ash there is leakage that happens frequently caused by erosion. This miter bend has 4 inches in diameter and 150 mm in radius with material specification A53 grade B schedule 40. By using radius variation in miter bend like R300, R450, R500 that’s to be expected can reduce erosion rate value, so it will has longer lifetime. The calculation and analysis of this research used the standard DNV RP O501-2015, API 570, and ASME B31.3. From the calculation can get result the erosion rate value and lifetime rate of each variation of the radius, erosion rate value interior surface wall at 150, 300, 450, 500 radius of miter bend is 0,490 mm/years, 0,477 mm/years, 0,436 mm/years, 0,427 mm/years, while in the 150, 300, 450, 500 radius of miter bend has 8,9 years, 9,5 years, 10,5 years, 11,1 years lifetime. From these results, it can conclude that the smaller radius of miter bend will result with the bigger erosion rate and short lifetime and the other hand. The suggestion for researcher that will develop his research, they can add analysis variation of material that can be used.
