Abstract

Gas metering system used in gas distribution from pipeline PT TIP to PT PJB UP Gersik as fuel of power plant. Gas metering system using 12 "pipe with orifice diameter 8.000 inch; 6,000 inch; 4,000inch. The gas that flows is a mixed gas. Gas metering system aims to measure the amount of gas that has been in flow to determine the quantity to be paid by the customer. This is done by using the inner diameter of the orifice to determine the magnitude of the flow rate that arises after passing the orifice. This speed value will determine the value of Re from a flow. In the selection of orifice that can be used on gas methering system which is designed with a minimum lifetime of 15 years, the diameter that can be used in the gas methering system is orifice with 8 inch diameter, while for orifice with diameter 6 inch and 4 inch can be used as backup when there is maintenance / replacement of the gas methering system with an 8-inch oifice diameter or when the gas distribution decreases.
