Abstract

PLTMH (Microhydro Power Plant) is a power plant that utilizes continuous flowing stream with a power capacity under 100 kW. Batu district has a lot potential energy resources that can be utilized to become electric energy. Especially in Temas Village, there is an irrigation canal that has sufficient water avaibility throughout the year and reliable discharge. But all potential energy sources can not be maximum utilized. From the survey location with apung method its known secondary irrigation temas has a water debit 0.324 m3/s and with waterpass method its known high different 1,5 m. The result calculation based on data, show that the potential energy power can be raised 5,05 kW. The design and manufacture of the water wheel, the discharge is utilized only 0,00735 m3/s (safety factor 85%). From this parameters survey location, diameter design of  water wheel is 1,9 m, the number of blade is 16, the power of water wheel is 77,8 watt, with efficiency of mechanic transmission 85% and generator efficiency is 85% know the generated power is 56,25 watt. Design and manufacture water wheel estimation cost needed Rp. 6.631.500,- and from this Corporate Social Responsibility project make Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyatul Quran saving cost Rp. 59.413,-.
