Abstract

The distribution of hydrocarbon gas to PT Panca Amara Utama from Central Plant storage tank that pass through PAU Metering Gas station located in Tomori Central were operated by PT Pratiwi Putri Sulung. The fluid that being distributed were in the form of raw materials for Ammonia production by PT Panca Amara Utama. Those are the fluid that high valued, and susceptive to contaminated with slug particle from hoarding in Central Processing Plant Job Pertamina-Medco E&P storage tank. The availability of slug particle load that carried away by fluid flows in pipelines to PAU Metering Gas Station inflicts unavoidable friction or even collision between slug particle and wall pipe surfaces. The 10†pipe usage in distribution channels also resulting degradation factors of wall thickness caused by erosion that getting bigger. Analysis method in this thesis were done by using manual calculation minimum wall thickness material based on ASME B31.8 and also calculate erosion rate, mass flows rate that lost per area unit each year in order to determine the lifetime of pipe material, elbows on its channels, and to visualization the particle track of erosion causes on each channels by using computational fluid dynamics method in ANSYS R18 software.
