Abstract

The main steam pipe connected between the secondary superheater outlet to the turbine inlet.
The piping system requires the flexibility calculations using computer analysis. Analysis is done to keep the piping
system can operate safely in accordance with the limits on ASME B31.1. Stress analysis in this thesis focuses on
the analysis of static voltage which includes a voltage due to sustained load, occasional load, and thermal
expansion. From the above problems analyzed by comparing the results of running the manual calculation with
CAESAR II 5.1 software. so that the bias voltage value corresponding known limitations ASME B31.1 code. Result
obtained from this analysis is the comparison between the results of manual calculations and software. Due to
sustained load voltage difference occurs in the lowest segment 1 with the results of manual calculations and results
amounted to 1277.88 psi software amounted to 2316.9 psi. While the value of the highest voltage occurs in segment
2 of 4552.62 psi on manual calculations and 4099.1 psi on a calculation software. For occasional tension voltage
value is highest in segment 2 of 5130.12 psi on manual calculations and 4221.2 psi on a calculation software.
While the value of the lowest voltage occurs in segment 1 with a value of 1835.17 psi on manual calculations and
2146.7 psi on a calculation software. For the highest thermal stress occurs at node 1 with the results of manual
calculations and results amounted to 70 417 psi software amounted to 8314.5 psi. While the value of the lowest
voltage occurs in node 3 with manul calculations and results amounted to 4070.02 psi psi 3142.9 software.
Nevertheless all voltages result in both manual and software is still in the allowable stress limits of the material
used. To support the corresponding technical standards using a guide support with the force direction Y + and Z
3 units with a minimum distance of 102.36 in
