Abstract
Collisions between SiO2 particles can cause the mass flow rate of sand in the pipe fittings to increase. So, the rate of erosion of the sand material becomes faster. In this research, 2" and 3" pipes fittings were used to differences in sand erosion rates could be determined due to differences in pipe diameters. Based on the calculation results, the rate of sand erosion becomes faster when it passes through pipe fittings with a smaller diameter. Meanwhile, based on the simulation results, the Lagrange interpolation method has high accuracy for predicting sand erosion rate values ??that have not been measured.
