Abstract

The Lawe-lawe Facilities project must change the routing design of the jumper line at Penajam Station due to the inflexible pipeline configuration in utilizing the existing line with the new line. Analyzed including calculation of max allowable pipe span, stress analysis due to sustained, occasional, and thermal loading, pipe flexibility and flange leakage analysis based on ASME B31.3. The max allowable pipe span got a value of 56,39 ft with a minimum number of pipe supports of 4 pieces. Stress analysis with the help of software results in stress values due to sustained, occasional and thermal loading not exceeding the allowable stress based on ASME B31.3. The pipe flexibility value in the jumper line piping system does not exceed the allowable value of 0,009 with an allowable of 0,030. The results of the flange leakage analysis get the highest value of stress on the flange of 211,54 psi. From the analysis that has been done, it is obtained that all stress values do not exceed the allowable based on the ASME B31.3 standard and can be declared safe to meet the criteria.
