Desain Jalur Sistem Perpipaan pada Air Panas Di Laboratorium Plumbing Gedung J Lantai 7 Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya
Abstract
The State Shipbuilding Polytechnic of Surabaya (PPNS) continuously striving to enhance student
learning by planning the construction of an integrated Plumbing Laboratory. This Plumbing Laboratory is
envisioned as a building with five toilet cubicles where the showers and sinks require hot water. The hot water
piping system design is created using AutoCAD software, employing Polypropylene Random (PPR) pipes. The
hot water piping system is designed with an overhead tank that directly supplies water to the water heater,
which then distributes it to the five toilet cubicles. The design calculations and material selection adhere to the
Indonesian National Standards (SNI). The analysis and calculations indicate a hot water requirement of 240
L/day. The required water heater capacity is 20L. Based on the results from the Pipe Flow Expert software, the
system operates efficiently under a closed tank condition with a pressure of 5 bars, and the output water
pressure is determined to be 0.2 bars.
