Abstract

AbstractIn the construction project of the new Fatty Alcohol Plant in the oleochemical industry in Gresik, there is a High Pressure (HP) Hydrogen pipeline route connected to a vessel. It was found that the pipeline route clashes with one of the main beams that supports a column. Redesigning the pipeline route is essential, and stress analysis is required because the pipeline route is both a new piping route and falls under the category of a critical line. Stress analysis using sustained, occasional, and thermal load based on ASME B31.3. The allowable pipe span calculation takes from the smallest value between the minimum distance based on the stress limit and the deflection limit. The calculation results of allowable pipe span can be accepted because the amount of support meets the minimum required amount. The calculation of flexibility has a value less than K1 which is 0.004392472, so the path is declared flexible. The highest stress values at line numbers 6111GH29-4"-925E02-H50/B1 for a sustained load 4773.8 psi, occasional load 4647.6 psi and thermal load 14434.3 psi. The stress values ??for three load cases do not exceed the allowable stresses. For the noozle load value is still below the allowable noozle load value, so the design made and connected to vessel nozzle is declared safe.
