PERHITUNGAN KEBUTUHAN DAYA POMPA PADA REDESAIN SISTEM FIRE FIGHTING PADA INDUSRI PENGOLAHAN GAS ALAM
Abstract
A company engaged in exploration and production located in East Java will upgrade its plant. Due to the addition of production capacity from 15 MMSCFD to 60 MMSCFD, the installed fire fighting system was inadequate due to the addition of new equipment to support the production process. This situation can be dangerous because companies engaged in gas exploration are prone to fires. In the outdoor fire fighting system redesign, the things that must be considered are the causes of fires so that effective and economical use of extinguishing media can be determined. In this final project a redesign of the outdoor fire fighting system is carried out which refers to the API RP2001 standard, calculating the required power of the fire pump and calculating the material costs and construction service costs required. To get the optimum design results from a technical point of view, Pipe Flow Expert software is used to calculate head loss to make it more accurate. Headloss based on manual calculations and using calculation tools in the form of pipe flow expert software are 189, m and 191, m with an error percentage of 1.99%. The pump power obtained is 349.8 KW.
