DESAIN FIRE FIGHTING PADA PABRIK GULA BERDASARKAN PERHITUNGAN HARGA MATERIAL DAN ESTIMASI BIAYA JASA KONSTRUKSI

Abstract

PT. Adhi Karya is a general contractor that revitalizes sugar plant with 4,000 TCD (Ton Cane per Day) capacity at Modjo – Sragen. There are some important things to be considered  for revitalization such as company social responsibility for manpower, health and work safety according to NFPA 850 labor standard and Indonesian regulation no. 30 section 44 verse 1-7, year 2009 about  fire fighting system. Fire fighting system design must meet the standard. It needs allowable head losses, pump power, tank volume, support distance, material and construction service estimation. Estimation about hydrant, springkler, support distance, pump power, tank volume, and cost calculation will be carried out manually. Pipe flow expert software is also used to determine headloss. The result is 28 hydrant pillars and 175 sprinklers needed for the design. Its supporting pipes needs 12 inch, 8 inch, 6 inch, 4 inch, 3 inch for diameter and  10.7 m, 8.4 m, 7.3 m, 5.6 m, 3.5m for pipe distance. The pump power of 242,460 Kw  is also needed for distribution to every hydrant and sprinkler. The calculation result using Pipe flow expert software is 70.597 m for head losses hydrant and 123.578 m for sprinkler. The total cost needed is IDR.4,786,535,546.00.-
