Abstract

Abstract – Effort to improve the specific study for piping engineering student, Shipbuilding of Polytechnics of Surabaya (SHIPS), planning an intregated plumbing laboratorium. The design was likened to three floors apartment building. Polypropylene Random (PPR) PN16  is a pipe type for cold water, PN20  is a pipe type for hot water, and brass for gas pipe. Design of cold water distribution system using bottom tank system, which is pumped to plumbing equipment. Water heater used gas water heater. Manifold is a pipe type which as connector between water heater and LPG cylinder. The design and calculation are based on Naional Plumbing Standard and Code, International Plumbing Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Domestic Water Heating Manual Design, Architectural data volume one. Calculation and analyze result are obtained requirement value of cold water supply as 99.55 L/m, hot water is 62.46 L/m, and the combination of cold and hot water is 104.85 L/m. The LPG energy requirement is 1332600 Btu/hr. Capacity of water tank is 4000 L. Pump power which operated is 2.968 kW, with the efficiency is 47.57%. Energy capacity of LPG whis saved to cylinder is 1393560 Btu. Budget plan of material which paid for the three fluids laboratorium is Rp 325.672.231,31
