Abstract

Abstract Offshore pipeline could be said stabilized when the pipeline could hold the forces that works vertically and horizontally. Environmental forces are the dominant forces that works on pipeline. Therefore, analysis on offshore pipeline stability at installation phase are chosen to be the primary discussion in this final project. On this research there will be two comparison performed, that are the design of concrete weight coating with saddle weight concrete according to load calculations that are needed to control the buoyancy value that happened and how much the tension on pipe because of the increased concrete weight will be analyzed with manual calculations and will be simulated on CAESAR II Software to ensure that have been fulfill the requirements from ASME B31.8. The load that passthrough pipeline will affected the shear resistance stress level on corrosion coating, therefore in this research sliding analysis are performed with ANSYS software to determine the shear stress value. Based on the researches that has been done before, author introduce the research about concrete sliding that happened on pipeline.
