Abstract

Abstract – The company is to improve the existing ORF (Onshore Receive Facility) facility so that production at the plant runs smoothly. ORF owned in the Gresik area is close to the sea where the land has abrasion, resulting in a decrease in land (soil settlement) at the ORF facility. As a result of the decrease in land, many identified support that could not support the pipe, one of which was in the output pipe from the metering gas which would be distributed to the power plant company. To anticipate problems in piping systems due to land subsidence, it is necessary to analyze the pipe stress and flange leakage and support the appropriate redesign. Pipe voltage analysis, flange leakage and Re-design support are carried out using Caesar II software. Criteria for the value of the stress on the pipe and flange must meet the allowable stress on the ASME B31.3 and ASME Sec.VIII Div 1 codes to obtain a safe piping system. Then redesign the appropriate support to anticipate damage to the piping system. The analysis results on piping systems due to soil settlement problems obtained preventive steps to prevent over-stress and flange leakage is to reduce the way to lower the pipe support PS001 & PS005 which is equal to -26 mm & -10mm with operating pressure not exceeding 30 bar. Thus the stress value due to sustained load, expansion load, hydrostatic load and operating load does not exceed the permitted standard according to ASME B31.3. besides the results of the flange leakage check analysis, namely longitudinal hub stress, radial stress, tangential stress and bolting stress also do not exceed the permitted standards according to ASME Sec.VIII Div 1. So the design with the adjusted pipe support PS001 & PS005 is safe and acceptable.
